We'd both spent a decade in big-box language academies — the kind with forty-student classrooms, photocopied worksheets, and students who could conjugate every tense yet froze when the phone rang in English. The problem was never the students. It was a method that treated speaking as a reward for finishing grammar, instead of the whole point.

So we flipped it. At Veran, every class is a conversation with structure hiding inside it. Grammar appears the moment you need it — when you reach for the past perfect and it isn't there — and because your class has eight people instead of forty, the moment you need it is the moment you get it.
